RAJASTHAN ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICE (RAS) AND RAJASTHAN TAXATION SERVICE (RTS)

Rajasthan Public Service Commision, Ajmer conducts exam for Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS), Rajasthan Taxation Service (RTS) and Rajasthan Allied Service on lines similar to Civil Services Exam for for recruitment to the posts coming under said services in State of Rajasthan.
Eligibility
Qualifications: Graduate in any discipline from recognised university.
Age : Minimum 25 years Maximum 45 years (For cut off ,date please see recent notification)
SCHEME OF EXAMINATION
The competitive examination comprises of ;
1.Preliminary Examination (Objective Type) for the Selection of candidates to the main examination ;and
2.Main Examination (Written Examination )
A. PRELIMINARY EXAMINATION:
The Preliminary Examination consists of two papers with objective type questions (multiple choice).

Note 1 : The question paper would be set both in Hindi and English. A candidate may answer the paper entirely either in Hindi or in English.
Note 2 : Each paper will be of two hours duration.
Note 3 : The number of candidates to be admitted to the Main Examination would be 15 times the vacancies notified for recruitment in the order of merit on the basis of the performance in the preliminary Examination . This would take care of vacancies reserved for candidates belonging to the categories of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and other Backward classes.

Note: A candidate shall not be allowed to offer the following combinations of subject:-
(a) Anthropology and Sociology
(b) Political Science & International Relations and Public Administration
(c) Commerce & Accountancy and Management
(d) Mathematics and Statistics
(e) Management and Public Administration
(f) Of the Agriculture and other related subjects viz: Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Crop Husbandry with Horticulture, Dairy Processing & Technology, not more than one subject.
(g) Of the Engineering subjects viz: Agricultural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science/Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Mining Engineering not more than one subject.
Note 1 : The marks obtained in compulsory papers i.e. in General Hindi and General English are of qualifying nature.
Note 2 : The questions in compulsory papers and optional paper will be of short type, vety short type and essay type
Note 3 : The question papers are set both in Hindi and in English. A candidate may answer a paper either entirely in Hindi or in English.
Note 4 : The standard of compulsory paper – General Hindi and General English will of Senior Secondary Level and standard of optional subjects is of degree level.
